I first heard about the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector after seeing Lisa Eldridge use it in numerous makeup tutorials. It’s fair to say that she’s one of the top makeup artists in the world so when she was singing the praises of this product it really piqued my interest.
After trying it out for myself, I can definitely see what all the fuss is about. It’s marketed as a liquid illuminator/highlighter housed in a generous 50ml bottle. A bonus is that it has an SPF of 25+ and with five shades on offer you’re bound to find something to suit your skintone (i picked up the shade ‘pearl’). What I love most about this product is that it gives the most luminous, glowy finish to boost even the most lacklustre of skin days, but it’s not too full on in appearance. Yes, there’s some extremely micro-fine shimmer running through it although nothing chunky that will leave you glittering left, right and centre.
My favourite way of applying it is to mix a small amount in with some moisturiser and boom, you’re done! If I’m in the mood I’ll also use it on its own and dab some on the top of the cheekbones for that extra glow. It’s such an instant skin booster and so versatile – how you use it is really up to you. It retails for $66AUD at David Jones which is a bit steep but in my opinion, makes up for it in terms of quality and quantity. Overall, I’m really impressed with this product and what a great introduction to the Becca brand!
